I have to raise a minimum of $2600 for IWDA and it would be great to raise way more than that. Somehow that figure is more daunting than actually walking the Kokoda Trail. But there is hope...
This week I set up 'San's Chocolate Shop' in the office and did a roaring trade. I sold about $70 worth of chocolates, which is great considering there's only about 20 people in my current office.
We moved offices today and we will be with the rest of the Melbourne team at our new West Melbourne office as of Monday. In total, there will be about 150 people and there are NO SHOPS nearby - I've got the market cornered baby! San's Chocolate Shop has a monopoly and NDY chocolate lovers are going to munch their way to my fundraising total.
I am not even scared of anyone muscling in on my turf; those Cabury kindy fundraisers will be no match for the variety and quality of San's Chocolate Shop.
PS Achillies feels great today despite being on my feet while packing and moving boxes all day yesterday. Dr Dan will be pleased tomorrow at my accupuncture session. Feeling positive about Sunday's foray into the forest.

I am going for my first training hike this weekend. It's been a while since I've been out bush. Damn achillies. We are doing the Olinda Valley walk which is graded med-hard and a good 3 hours - a nice warm up choice, I think. It's a Trailwalker & Kokoda training hike and hopefully there will be about eight or nine of us.
I am a little worried about my achillies as it's still tender and the early part of the hill is straight up, which is never great for my tight calves and achillies. I'll just have to make sure I'm plenty warmed up before starting out and give it a good stretch as needed.
I can't keep waiting and waiting for it to be perfectly healed. I think i have to just test it a little, recover and test it again. Sometimes I think I was over-optimisitc when I committed to TW and Kokoda.
IWDA is having a lunch time presentation next week with a special guest talking first hand about the direct impact climate change has had on her small island in PNG. Should be really interesting and I hope some of the other trekkers are attending so we can meet.
